The SGW-Tool is an application for capturing use cases with associated scenarios and perform a walkthrough of these use cases to gather new requirements. The requirements elicitation is supported by generated "What-If" questions.
  1. Log in. If you forgot your password and the email is correct, you can recover your password on the login screen.
  2. Check your account, especially name and email.
  3. Create a new domain by selecting Domains from the main menu. A domain is a system or project that can contain multiple scenarios.
  1. Create a new use case for your project by selecting Use Case from the main menu.
  2. Enter the Data needed for describing the use case and submit the form.
A scenario describes the sequence of actions that are performed in a use case.
  1. Create needed actors by selecting Agents from the main menu.
  2. Create needed objects by selecting Objects from the main menu.
  3. Select Use Case from the main menu and Edit Scenario in the row with the use case the scenario shall be created for.
  4. You can now create two type of steps:
    Action steps:
    Acions are performed by the actors. They have a start and an end.
    Control steps:
    You may define conditional branches with if and else or you may add jumps.
    For Action steps you may add the participating actors and objects.
  5. The + button adds a step below and the arrows can move the steps. You can also Edit or Delete a step.
  6. Each step can have associated multimediaModel-elements, comments and requirements. Click on the icon to expand the rows.
A course is a sequential walkthrough through a scenario. One scenario can have multiple courses.
  1. Select Use Case from the main menu and Courses in the row with the use case the scenario shall be created for. You will see the scenario and all courses.
  2. Click on a tab for a course.
  3. Click on Edit course name and give each course a meaningful name.
  1. Select Use Case from the main menu and Generate WhatIf questions in the row with the use case the WhatIf questions shall be created for.
  2. Select Courses in the same row.
  3. The WhatIf questions are generated for each line. You can see them after klicking on the question-mark icon.
  4. You can add manual WhatIf Question, edit existing question and hide them.
  5. Select Walk Through from the main menu and the desired Course.
  6. Click on each step to see the associated WhatIf questions and to add requirements.
